MBK Junior Match RulesAll MBK rules apply; barbless hooks only, no floating bait, minimum 2 ft depth. All juniors must be in charge of his/her own rod/pole/whip at all times – adult/helper cannot hold terminal tackle for them or sit on their box/chair The junior must stay on the peg at all times unless going to toilet. If you have a guest they must stay at the peg during the match. No bait is to go in until the match whistle has blown. You may plum up before whistle and put keep net in the pond prior to the start whistle. If you are playing a fish on final whistle shout ‘fish on’ – 15 minutes to land it. The rules are there to make it as fair as possible - Anyone breaking the rules will be disqualified. Under 9 years old Child must be in charge of their rod/pole/whip - No adults to cast or play fish. They may have help baiting up, feeding, unhooking and landing fish (holding landing net). Under 9’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times. 9 – 12 years old May have help landing fish (holding landing net), baiting up, feeding & unhooking. But we would encourage them to do as much themselves as possible. 13 – 16 & 17 - 19 years old Verbal assistance only. If anyone has special needs (need extra help) they must let Kendra or Kenny know at the draw
