As the weather was nice myself and my mate decided to spend a few hours on one of our favourite waters.

There were a few fish topping but nothing hinted at what was to happen.

I set up float rod with 6lb line after about 15 minutes it screamed off my reel and I was in to this fine fish and on landing it we weighed it and the scales went round to 19lb. I knew there was some nice fish in the lake but not aware of any that size. The rest of my day was spent catching quite a few smaller but none the less hard fighting carp and quite a few silver fish.
